Branch Operations Head
Requirements:
1. Graduate of any Business course

2. With at least 3 years experience in Branch Operations

3. Mastery of BSP and other regulatory agencies policies and procedures

4. Mastery of Branch Operations, Accounting/Bookkeeping

5. Good communication skills (oral and written)

6. Leadership skills in place

7. Computer literate

Responsibilities:
- Oversees the overall operation of all branches

1. Lays down systems and procedures, sets policies in line with BSP, other regulatory agencies and internal bank affairs; updates Branch Operations Manual from time to time;

2. Reviews audit exceptions of branches conducted by Audit Department, External Audit and/or by BSP examiners and sees to IT that exceptions noted are corrected;

3. Monitors and gives recommendation on outstanding branch cases for resolution, disposition and decision by management;

4. Conducts branch visitation to check and review branches in compliance to the standard policies and procedures of the bank;

5. Sees to IT that branch policies and procedures are being implemented;

6. Supervises and maintains the computer operating system of the branches;

7. Handles and supervises branch personnel and their assignments;

8. Recommends approval of branch transactions which deviate from standard operating procedures and policies;

9. Conducts meeting with the Branch Managers to discuss operational reminders and other system related issues;

10. Conducts brief orientation to newly-hired branch employees;

11. Implements a Disaster Recovery Program / Back-up System;

12. Monitors the monthly performance of branches:

- Budget vs. Actual

- Increase and Decrease in CASA

- ADB / Deposit Level

13. Sees to IT that all required reports of branches are prepared and submitted on time;

14. Attends / approves branches requisition on personnel / equipment / supplies, etc.;

15. Attends to branches concerns referred by Branch Managers and gives immediate/solution to the problem;

16. Attends Department Heads meeting;

17. Checks, recommends payment of branches- expenses.

18. Ensures proper upkeep of branch and Office equipment.

19. Oversees the Clearing Dept.

20. Performs / attends to other duties which may be assigned by the immediate superior and higher authorities from time to time.

OTHER DUTIES:

1. Continuously reviews and updates the Bank-s Operations Manual incorporating all the new and revised operations and control policies and procedures as mandated by the Bank-s management, the BSP and other supervising government agencies.

2. Regularly monitors and reports the branches- resolution of all outstanding issues raised by the internal, external and BSP auditors in a timely and accurate manner.

3. Documents and reports all deviations from established internal and external rules and regulations and ensures that these deviations are approved at the appropriate level of authority and that these are prevented from recurring.

4. Ensures that all branches are properly manned at all times and, in no instance, shall any of the branches be allowed to breach internal control as a result of inadequate manning complement.

5. Recommends new operating policies and/or amendments to existing policies designed to strengthen internal control and enhance the service delivery system of the Bank.

6. Regularly conducts technical and skills training programs for all branch personnel in close coordination with the Human Resource Department. Updates branch personnel on new circulars and memoranda, from internal and external sources, that have bearing and relevance on branch operations.

7. Assists in the preparation of the branches and department-s consolidated annual financial budgets and business plans. Renders regular monthly monitoring report of the units- actual performance versus budget highlighting the reasons for the deviations from the budget that exceed 5%.

8. Assists in the selection of new branch personnel and, more importantly, initiates appropriate actions to reward outstanding performers and/or to sanction erring personnel within the purview of the Bank-s existing code of conduct, to include suspension and/or termination for cause as a necessary remedy.

9. Performs other functions relevant to and in furtherance of the primary responsibility of the position.
