Job Summary:
  • Directs and manages the Plant’s Controllership, including all AR, AP and Fixed Assets accounting, Inventory and cost controllership, financial planning, and budget preparation, implementation and monitoring functions.
  • Monitors plant operation results against operating plans and direct the preparation of financial, production output, and other reports used to measure and control plant activities and costs.
  • Review production variances with management
  • Monitors spending on key categories and support company initiatives to reduce spending
  • Institutes appropriate measures to control and save on costs and expenses, minimize or avoid losses, duties and taxes, and maximize profits
  • Ensures robust financial controls are in place and are following financial policies
  • Safeguards the Plant’s assets and other resources, and control and optimizes the allocation and utilization thereof
  • Assists the COO, Senior Financial Controller and Group CFO in the formulation and implementation of financial strategies and plans for the plant

Plant Controllership:
  • Participates in the regular cycle counts to ensure that these are conducted in the Plant.
  • Directs all plant accounting functions and transactions including the timely and accurate preparation and reporting of the Plant’s interim and year-end trial balances, financial performance and comparative analysis of the plant’s cost and budget variances
  • Ensures that adequate financial controls for safeguarding the Plant’s assets and other resources are installed and strictly complied with at the Plant

Budgeting:
  • Coordinates the correct and timely preparation, review and approval of the Plant’s annual business plans and budgets
  • Reviews, validates and approves the computations/ analyses of the company’s current and projected products costs and gross profits based on sales Department’s recommended selling prices and volumes
  • Ensures that Monthly Variance Report (Actual vs. Budget) are analyzed and submitted to the Senior Financial Controller
Qualifications: Graduate of Accountancy, must be Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Work Experience: With at least fifteen (15) years of actual work experience in Cost Accounting and at least seven (7) years in managerial position in Accounting or Controllership in a large construction industry or manufacturing company
