Profitability Enablement Manager (Financial Planning and Analysis Manager)

About the Team

We are looking for a high-performing, results-oriented individual to join our FP&A team!

You will own the Marketing financial close and accomplish a number of operational improvements aimed at enhancing the speed and accuracy of our financial management. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing FP&A.

About the Role

Financial Close

  • Own the financial close process and ensure the accuracy of month-end accounting and reporting
  • Deep dive into month-end variances to explain ongoing changes in the business to finance and business partners
  • Build an effective cross-functional relationship with Marketing and keep track of expense trajectories

Financial Operations

  • Serve as the finance liaison to support the business in financial controls and processes related to procurement, accounting, tax, and legal
  • Build a process guide to address commonly asked questions, including but not limited to:
  • Expense recognition, purchase requisition/order best practices, month-end close roles and responsibilities between finance and the business teams, standards for departmental cross-charges, etc
  • Review and clean up a sizable amount of existing open purchase orders to improve the speed and accuracy of financial management
  • Collaborate with the financial systems team to automate and improve the procurement process based on agreed-upon guidelines

Financial Planning

  • Assist with the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience with Oracle ERP and Anaplan is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of core GAAP accounting concepts
  • High proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, specifically Sheets, Slides, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize information to non-financial audiences
  • You must be amenable to work on a night shift schedule and on a one-year contract
