Position DescriptionJob Description
Performs a variety of tasks related to the procurement of goods and services for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona and its affiliate entities (GCNA). Conducts day-to-day purchasing transactions including creation of purchase orders and reviewing new vendor requests and updates. Provides superior customer service to internal and external customers by responding to questions in a timely and professional manner.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Financial – Sustains growth through financial stewardship & fiscal responsibility.
- Assists with Invitation-To-Bid forms, Requests for Proposal, or Vendor Quotes for departments, as needed. This includes responding to questions and assisting with evaluation of responses from suppliers and internal customers.
- Identifies and delivers cost savings opportunities where possible to contribute towards the overall procurement savings targets.
- Monitors supplier compliance with contracts.
- Maintains audit schedule of vendor leases, contracts, and agreements.
- Reviews and verifies documentation for new vendor approval.
- Evaluates vendors based upon price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, and selection.
- Ensures that all vendor contracts and agreements meet in-kind and match requirements within the guidelines of program funding contracts.
- Ensures vendors have approved contractual agreements or contracts in place.
- Provides organizational support for enterprise procurement system. Performs system testing for upgrades, identifies and troubleshoots issues.
- Ensures that team members follow efficient and effective processes. Provides end-user training as needed.
- Sources and secures purchased goods and services, and e-solutions, as needed.
- Maintains master lease schedules, ensuring master copies of leases are maintained appropriately.
- Prepares contract documentation for legal review as needed.
- Orders supplies for Finance team and provides other administrative support.

- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in Business, Finance, Purchasing, or another related field.
- Minimum 1 year’ experience in purchasing.
- Proven ability to be analytical and handle data effectively.
- Proven ability to utilize an ERP system. Workday experience is a plus.
- Must have knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
