Responsible in ensuring that the expected food safety and quality checks required by the job are performed according to the company’s quality and food safety plan, and executed in the most effective way following the standard practice.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts physical and chemical analysis of raw materials, semi-finished, finished products and samples submitted by Purchasing and R and D according to standard procedures. Performs the tasks of the laboratory assistant as dictated by manning requirements.
  • Maintains and updates record of analytical results with accuracy and integrity to facilitate the on-time release of raw materials, in-process and finished goods. These include logbooks, repeatability and reproducibility records and monitoring graphs for routine analysis
  • Executes the five domains of Internal Control Plan (Equipment, Method, Repeatability/Reproducibility, Chemicals and Safety) according to the established activities and frequencies in his area including off-line laboratories.
  • Performs his job in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), safety rules and good housekeeping; maintain as minimum requirement and initiates improvement if necessary.
  • In case of deviation in any of the parameters analyzed, informs immediate superior.
  • Requests for sampling of products with deviations and performs the necessary second examination.
  • Participates in Proficiency Test conducted by external provider.
  • Review and validates new analytical procedures.
  • Ensures all analytical jobs are well planned and finished within his shift. If there is an unfinished job this should be properly coordinated and endorsed to other QA Analyst.
  • Conducts periodic inventory of materials/supplies in his area.
  • Receives, checks, record and store all incoming laboratory consumables.
  • Ensures that all chemical waste generated are properly recorded, segregated and stored.
  • SAP related activities: results recording and other related transaction codes
  • Conducts Internal Control Plan checking of laboratory equipments, chemicals and media, safety equipments, and method.
  • Participates in the daily sensory evaluation of products.
  • Review and encodes data (thru electronic registration) related to CPR application for both local and imported products. Ensures that all required documents are complete and updated.
  • Follow up and coordinates with FDA regulatory office re status of CPR application, sales promotion application and submission of other related documents.
  • Participates in other FSC/ QA related activities such as pest control, Warehouse audits, sensory evaluation of finished goods and KQT samples; checking and validation of submitted production records related to finished goods releasing such as CCP and OPRP monitoring, traceability cards, and packing report.
  • Performs other jobs assigned as the need arises.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of BS Microbiology; BS Food Technology; BS Biology or other related courses
  • With 2 to 3 years of micro laboratory analysis and operation experience in manufacturing set-up will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills;
  • Understanding of laboratory testing regulations
  • Willing to work in Marikina City
