Key Responsibilities:

Accounting

  • Identify and manage tax issues: Division 7A loans, fringe benefits tax, CGT events, SBE and depreciation concessions.
  • Prepare tax returns, financial and activity statements
  • Undertake periodic management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting (as required)
  • Complete all mandatory training

Client Care

  • Support clients to build better business relationships
  • Build the brand by providing excellent and timely services
  • Improve the quality of services by taking feedback well

Business Excellence

  • Deliver on 1400 chargeable hours
  • Task management: Meet budget and productivity targets on time
  • Lead by example (align with the PPSA Values and Mission statement)

Office Processes

  • Improve system and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Career Development and Team Management
  • Assist in coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Identify personal and professional development opportunities (PPSA)

Competency and L&D framework

  • Complete annual professional development plans with people leader
  • Have regular 1:1’s with people leader and ensure open lines of communication are maintained
  • Participate in development activities and young professional networking events

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree inAccountancy or any related course; CPA preferred
  • Withat least 1-2 years of Australian tax accounting experience(AU accounting firm is an advantage)
  • With experience in usingXERO Accounting software
  • Receptive to training and coaching
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong attention to details and with high analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Trustworthy in managing confidential information
