Competency :
- Competencies: 1. Leadership; 2. Internal Audit; 3. Knowledge on DBM, DILG Policy on Internal Control Services Functions: 1. Develop plans and strategies to facilitate efficiency and productivity in the unit; 2. As team leader of the Internal Control Unit, set and communicate clear performance objectives and provide regular performance monitoring to ensure that outputs are delivered according to set standard on quantity, quality, efficiency and timeliness; 3. Formulate internal control policies and procedures to safeguard the agency assets and ensure delivery of outputs; 4. Direct the conduct of planned activities and provide support or intervention as necessary to facilitate the work or elicit greater employee engagement; 5. Perform thorough review of supporting documents to ensure completeness; 6. Monitor COA, DBM, DILG, CSC, BLGF website for new policies that should be complied in the province; 7. Update the Provincial Accountant of the status of work progress and recommend actions to recalibrate unit plans, programs, objectives or targets; 8. Promptly evaluates findings and recommendations reported by auditors, determine proper actions in response to audit findings and recommendations and complete within established timeframes all actions that correct or otherwise resolve the matters brought to management’s attention; 9. Conduct inspections on the procured goods, service and infrastructure projects of the PGLU; 10. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Provincial Accountant from time to time.
